What I learned after watching Harry Potter
Harry Potter, a story about a boy who is destined to be a great wizard, has become one of the biggest franchise in the entertainment industry.
At first I really don’t care much about Harry Potter. However, since I keep hearing the name of “you know who”, it got me curious.
I started to watch the movie. From the first episode until the latest at the time I write this post. I tried to read the book but the pages are too much. So, I stick to the movies.
But it’s not the case of my wife, Evi. She read all the books and watch all the movies.
Gee, I thought, and my wife doesn’t even fit the category of Harry Potter hardcore fan.
I cannot imagine what it would be like for a hardcore fan. They must have been buying everything they can get that is related to Harry Potter.
Anyways, Harry Potter book and movies, is a great example of transforming one product from one form to another form. In this case, text to audio-video.
You can do it also with your product. You can transform your ebook to an audio book or video tutorial. When transforming, you don’t always have to expand the content volume, but you also can shrink the content volume, but charging at higher price.
Anyways, I want you to check out my conversation with my wife.
It is not the best audio presentation in the world, but you’ll get some gold nuggets if you listen carefully. I mean really really carefully listen to the audio :-).

One more thing I learn from this Harry Potter fiesta, is the way they launch their latest book. Before the launch, they spread the word that the two characters from the previous episode/books will die.
Who cares? The fans did. It really builds up anticipation, anxiety and speculation among the fans. As the result, another successful launch for Harry Potter.
