Ebay Told Me What Is Hot On eBay

Uncategorized Comments (0)

Can’t you believe that? EbayAnnouncementAboutJapanesePowerseller

eBay has just emailed me and they plainly told me what’s hot on eBay right now.

PROOF: click on the right picture.

Here’s a chunk of the email from them:

"Last but not least, if you are currently doing a single-site listing, we strongly encourage you to pursue multi-site listings to boost your business. We have found out that there are great demands on Japanese items in US, UK , DE, Hong Kong , Singapore and Philippines . In addition to multi-site listings, we strongly urge you to expand categories to adjacencies (e.g., for sellers who list computers, you can increase your merchandising to computer accessories) given the popularity of Japanese items."

Did you read that? They said that Japanese items are popular!
And I live in Japan!

Maybe I should jump to eBay and start selling Japanese stuff. I heard that foreigners love to buy Ninja’s sandal.

PS: Those sandals are made in China *smile*

Primer Tools For Ebay Sellers

Uncategorized Comments (0)

It is time to get back to work after the holiday!

And I am going to share with you some resources for Ebay sellers.

  1. Ebay Pulse - http://pulse.ebay.com
Ebay provides information of what sells on Ebay currently. Use information there to determine your products.
  2. Market Research - http://pages.ebay.com/marketplace_research
This is a lot more sophisticated research tool compare to Ebay Pulse. It is a subscription based tool that allows you to research what sold on Ebay at what price broke down to day by day statistics.
  3. Sellathon - http://www.sellathon.com
This is also a subscription based tool that allows you to track visitors of your listings. You can find out how your visitors arrived, what keywords they used and when they visited your listings.
  4. Auctiva - http://www.auctiva.com
This is a third party tool to manage your Ebay store. Ebay also have their own build in management tool, Selling Manager and also there is a Turbo Lister. However, Auctiva is slightly easier to use.
  5. MyStoreMaps - http://www.mystoremaps.com
I just find out this subscription based tool. This tool displays a map that shows places/countries of your past customers. You can boost trust from your prospects (especially international prospects) and of course boost your sales.
